"I believe in Christ, so come what may!"
Life is funny the way things work out. . .
First and foremost, God is a most loving God, and a God of miracles.
The past month has been quite a wild ride, and we're only 11 days into it! Thankfully I can say that it's been a fun ride at that.
In these few short days, my prayers have been answered in ways that I was completely unsuspecting-- answering my prayers in ways I have only dreamed.
Sadly, I can't say much. Mostly because different opportunities continue to unravel, and things seem to keep falling into place.
Yes, that's right-- things keep falling into place.
I have recently had incredible opportunity after incredible opportunity come calling- literally.
To say I am blessed would be an understatement.
It has been humbling to say the least.
I love the Lord, in Him my soul delights.

Post Number Two...
The other day someone told me, "You know, Jenn. I don't think I've ever had a conversation with you where you don't bring up God."
For a moment, I wasn't sure how to respond. But it then occurred to me, and I smiled as I responded, "Well, he's my best friend! I just gotta give Him credit.".
It's true, He is my best friend.
You know, faith is a funny thing. Faith is an interesting thing. Faith in God is more than just belief, since true faith always moves its possessor to some kind of physical and mental action. (For those of you who read that and thought to yourself that I'm a genius, fear not- this definition of faith is found in the Bible Dictionary).
Isn't it funny the way the Lord humbles His children? I have found in my own life that He has provided me answers to things I really do not want answers to. And to the questions I am diligently seeking His wisdom in? He refrains.
But isn't this faith? If He were to give us the answers to all questions we are seeking, what would be the purpose? In Corinthians we are taught that we "...walk by faith, not by sight." If this is the case, and faith is "not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith, ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true." Then it makes perfect sense as to why He refrains.
It makes perfect sense, for "it is not meet [to be] commanded in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant..."
So, what has sparked this tangent of faith, you may ask?
Well, you see. Let me start by making a blanket statement. I feel as though many people, perhaps MOST people, are afraid of failure. Sure, the fear of failure may at times inhibit or cripple me, but what I fear the most is my own success. I fear MYSELF and my own greatness.
Sure, go ahead and laugh. Sounds perhaps ironic, I know. But truly-- it's been one of my greatest challenges. What is holding me back? What is keeping me from the VERY THING I want MOST? WHY do I struggle and cry into the early hours of the night? If God has promised to grant the righteous desires of the heart, then why must I be afraid? Isn't He already on my side? Isn't God's purpose to bring us JOY?
Why then, OH WHY THEN am I afraid?
So.
This post is for me. To help me remember what God has promised as found in Isaiah, "Fear thou not, for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
So, with that being said-
Guess what.
What is there to fear? If my faith is deeply rooted in my Savior, Jesus Christ, then isn't that strength enough? If I am fighting for the right team, how am I to lose?
Exactly.
Fear is a funny thing. Fear is an interesting thing. Faith in God is more than just belief, since true faith always moves its possessor to some kind of physical and mental action.
So.
As my faith increases, as I strive to draw nearer to God, therein will I find the strength, the determination and power to succeed.
I fear not, for He is with me.
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah.
Happy Friday! (Or Monday, or Wednesday or whatever day you read this...)
And yes-- I may bring up God in nearly every conversation, but guess what. I'll continue to do so. How can I not? His truth has illuminated every facet of my life, and has increased the depth and purpose of all things. Trust me, as you come to recognize life in all its beauty, you'll start doing the very same.
Trust me.

Preface
To begin, I must admit...
I've never fit in.
Sure, I know you're thinking that this is just another angst-ridden, insecure, 'woe-is-me' comment to fish for reassurances.
No.
It's simply fact.
For starters,
I have an afro.
And when I say afro, I mean I have 5 different types of curls in my hair, afro. The circumference of my hair is 3 times the size of my head, afro. The room hushes and everyone stares as I walk in, afro.
I am also the only one in my family that looks nothing like the rest of my siblings.
My humor is so off-beat, I find I am usually the only one laughing. Laughing at my own jokes to pretend like I'm funny.
I am overly inquisitive. Paralysis by analysis, so they say.
I eat cereal for every meal of the day.
I am a deeply religious person, and my love for God is one of, if not THE, biggest defining factors of me. (Or so I'd hope... Hah.)
My name is Jenn.
I'm 18 years of age.
White.
Not adopted.
And, oh yeah-
I'm mormon.
And this?
This is Jenn in Real Life.
Welcome.
